We are very excited that you have expressed interest in serving alongside SERVE missions through a short term trip. To apply for a DBSM short term trip (Trinidad and Austria), complete the following steps.
Applications are due by midnight on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, and the documents are due on Sunday, October 14.
Step One-Online Application
Step Two-Necessary Paperwork
Return the signed documents to the SERVE Missions office, the Denton Bible Church main office in an envelope marked care of SERVE missions, at the first DBSM team meeting on October 22nd, or a DBSM service.
*Two of the documents in the document package must be notarized.* Be sure to wait to sign the notarized portion until you are in the presence of the notary. Step Three-Volunteer Screening
Complete the documents needed to volunteer with a ministry of Denton Bible Church (Volunteer Screening Form and the Child Protection Policy). If you are currently serving in a ministry of Denton Bible Church, you may have already completed the following documents. Contact the missions office if you have questions. Once completed, return the documents to the SERVE Missions office or the Denton Bible Church main office in an envelope marked care of SERVE missions.
Step Four- Passport
If you already have a passport, make sure you know where it is and that it hasn’t expired. If you do not have a current passport, start working on getting a new or updated passport. We will need a copy of your passport in order to buy plane tickets. Please send a color scan of your passport to email@example.com, or if you do not have access to a scanner, bring your passport by the DBC main office, to the DBC SERVE office, or to a DBSM event (like the first team meeting on October 22, 2017) for a staff member to scan the passport.
If you do not have a passport, you can apply online at https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/apply.html
